Synopsis:

In this workshop we will learn the processes and materials for the creation of the drag mask and the characterization of dramatic characters. The workshop will be given by Joan Guijarro and Fitta Molina, two drags with extensive theater experience and currently in residence at L’Obrador Espai de Creació with their show “Dragedia”, by DH Company.

Biography:

DH Company is a production company and theater company founded by Joan Guijarro in 2008. Since its inception, the main objective has been to use the performing arts as a transformative tool to create emotional experiences in which the viewer does not remain indifferent. The company has specialized in historical re-enactment shows and musical theater. Apart from researching and creating new theatrical formats, his work is based on period shows and traditional roots as a starting point, where there is always a reflection and a comparison with current theater. Among its shows, the ten Ampolino productions and five Varietés stand out within the framework of the Festa del Mercat a la Plaça in Amposta. At the same time, they have produced two musical theater productions with the Lira Ampostina band: the 2017 “Cabaret” by Joe Masteroff, and the 2019 “Mamma Mia!” by Catherine Johnson. The latest shows released are the “Ampolino X” cabaret and the street show “Los Sellers”, as well as the monologue drama “Lorca Live”, on tour throughout the national territory.
