Activity: contemporary dance workshop.
Public: La Duna users.
More information: [email protected]
Synopsis
This movement workshop focuses on the idea of touch to investigate the moments prior to it. The relationship between the surrounding landscape and our inner landscape will be examined: how the individual experience of a specific landscape affects our sense of place, exploring the shapes, textures, colors, sensations and movements that surround us.
During the session, the participants will improve their alignment, becoming aware of their body and understanding its structure. They will learn the principles of the functional use of energy and discover its potential to fully enjoy movement.
The class will begin with a creative warm-up followed by floor exercises to explore the structures of the body and patterns of movement development. Next, the dance will be led through space to experience the functional use of our kinesthetic energy. Afterwards, we will move on to bodywork with a partner to discover the possibilities of movement within a group.
The workshop methodology combines techniques such as Feldenkrais, Rolfing, Contact Improvisation, Experiential Anatomy and Improvisation mediated by contemporary dance.
