SYNOPSIS

‘Proxima Centauri’ is a project born with the aim of creating a scenic piece where the dramaturgical structure is given by the phases of a star’s life: from birth to death in a particular explosion.

Each scene uses one of the five phases in the life of a star as a reference:
1) Collapse
2) Balance
3) Collapse and explosion
4) Glittery glittery
5) Blur

The project combines astrophysics with the circus, movement and electronic music through various elements such as the Cyr wheel, a floor full of leaves, two pendulums and water. These elements are used to weave the piece taking a personal experience as the guiding thread: that of a confused child who becomes obsessed with astrophysics.
