SYNOPSIS
Salades is a contemporary dance piece inspired by the work “Te deix, amor, el mar com a peyora”, by Camera Riera and published in 1975. This literary work is a journey through time and the feelings of one of his characters, of his discovery of pure love. But “Te deix amor” is also the censorship of this love. A censorship derived from a rigid context that forces its protagonists to live with a bitter feeling, a mixture of hope and frustration.
The story gives us a rich imagination, assorted aromas, colors, skins, letters, glances, hugs, with the deep and salty sea always in the background. It also speaks of the silent acceptance of the pain and injustice of this love story poorly lived under a heteronormative social framework.
Salades looks through the female protagonists and explores female sensuality regardless of gender, investigating its forms and contradictions from a fresh and playful perspective. It allows us to open our eyes to other realities, because love does not understand sexual orientations or regulations.
