L’OBRADOR Creation Space is a space for research and experimentation open to artists who develop their creations from their bodies. It is a space dedicated to an artistic line closely linked to dance and circus as well as new languages and forms of movement that can arise from the fusion between different disciplines.
In this sense, one of the objectives of L’OBRADOR Creation Space is the opening of its facilities to artists to develop their creative processes through a programme of artistic residencies, offering a space for research, expansion and consolidation.
The space not only offers its facilities to artists, but also offers the possibility of contracting the artistic mentoring service, which is led by the director and founder of L’OBRADOR: Roberto Olivan. He mentors companies and artists that need support in the process of investigation, creation, production, distribution or exhibition.
The call includes 6 different types of creation residencies:
Support for research, to encourage and facilitate the development of new performing arts languages.
Support for research and creation, hosting projects that are already articulated but still at a very early stage.
Support for creation for projects in the final stage of creation but that are not yet ready or finished for their premiere.
Support for production. Dance performances that have already been created but need a space for a final revision, always very necessary just before the premiere.
Support for production. Circus performances that have already been created but need a space for a final revision prior to the premiere.
Space rentals. The option of making the space available to projects at any stage of the creative process will remain permanently open, to ensure maximum use of the space and to support the hosting of local projects.
